Health and Safety Guidelines
Pre-Race Health Check
Participants should be in good health and physically prepared for the 5K.
If you have any medical conditions, consult a healthcare provider before participating.
Do not participate if you are feeling unwell, experiencing fever, shortness of breath, or any contagious illness.
Hydration & Nutrition
Drink plenty of water before, during, and after the race.
Water stations will be available along the course.
Eat a light, energy-boosting meal before the race to maintain stamina.
Race-Day Safety Measures
First aid stations will be available at the start/finish line and along the route.
Emergency medical personnel will be on standby.
If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell at any time, stop running and seek assistance.
Course Safety
Follow the designated race path and stay aware of your surroundings.
Be mindful of uneven terrain, road crossings, and other participants.
Headphones are allowed but should be used at a low volume to stay alert.
Heat & Weather Precautions
Dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
If temperatures are high, take breaks as needed and use cooling stations if available.
In case of extreme weather, the race may be delayed or canceled for safety reasons.
Personal Safety & Etiquette
Maintain a safe distance from other runners when possible.
Be courteous and aware of fellow participants.
If stopping or slowing down, signal by moving to the side to avoid collisions.
COVID-19 & Communicable Disease Precautions (If applicable)
Hand sanitizing stations will be available.
If you have recently been sick or exposed to a contagious illness, please refrain from participating.
Child & Minor Safety
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child’s safety during the event.
Post-Race Recovery
Cool down with light stretching to prevent cramps or injury.
Continue hydrating and consuming light, nutritious food post-race.
Seek medical assistance if you experience prolonged discomfort or fatigue.
Emergency Procedures
If you witness an emergency, alert the nearest race official or volunteer immediately.
In case of a serious medical emergency, dial 911 or follow event emergency protocols.
