Get ready for the 2nd Annual 404 Day Parade on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Hosted by the 404 Collective, this city-wide celebration honors the people, cultures, neighborhoods, and organizations that make Atlanta an internationally recognized center of creativity, innovation, and influence. Stretching 1.1 miles along Peachtree Street, the parade transforms the heart of the city into a moving showcase of Atlanta’s grassroots community groups, cultural institutions, artists, entrepreneurs, schools, and local businesses. The 404 Day Parade is a reflection of Atlanta in all its diversity. Bring the whole family and experience a vibrant display of creative floats, dynamic participants, and unmistakable Atlanta energy as we celebrate the many communities that call this city home and the culture that connects us all.

Definition of a Small Business: A small business is any for-profit business that meets the following criteria:

  • Annual gross revenue of less than $1 million for the most recent fiscal year.
  • Employs fewer than twenty (20) full-time employees.

Definitions

  • Float: Any motorized vehicle that has a total length of eighteen (18) feet or more as measured from the farthest front portion of the vehicle to the farthest back portion, including any trailers or attached decor. The price includes up to 100 pedestrian participants. Limited to a maximum of one (1) per parade entry.
  • Standard Vehicle: Any motorized vehicle that has a total length of less than eighteen (18) feet as measured from the farthest front portion of the vehicle to the farthest back portion, including any trailers or attached decor. The price includes up to 50 pedestrian participants per vehicle. Limited to a maximum of three (3) per parade entry.
  • Walking Group: A group of five (5) or more individuals participating on foot under a shared theme, purpose, or organization. Walking groups do not utilize motorized vehicles or floats and must maintain an orderly formation throughout the parade. Walking groups may include community organizations, themed participants in coordinated attire, or performers.
  • Participant Add-on: An additional 50 participants for your entry. No regular parade entry may have a total of more than 150 total pedestrians.

Insurance Requirements

All drivers must have a valid Driver’s License, and all vehicles must have valid insurance as per Georgia Law.

A politician is defined as any individual or campaign elected to public office.

 

Examples of those who should complete this form include:

  • City Council Members (incumbent or candidate)
  • Local Sheriff Officers (incumbent or candidate)
  • Judges / District Attorneys (incumbent or candidate)
  • Senators / Congress Members (incumbent or candidate)
  • Mayors or Governors (incumbent or candidate)
  • Local, Regional, or State Officeholders (incumbent or candidate)
  • Political Party Affiliates (e.g., Democratic/Republican Party of Atlanta)

This application is for local schools, marching bands, and performance ensembles wishing to participate in the 2025 404 Day Parade.

 

Definition of a School/Marching Band Group:

A school or marching band group, as defined by parade standards, is any organized group of students, musicians, or performers participating in the parade on foot that meets the following criteria:

  • Consists of five (5) or more individuals representing a school, marching band, or performance group.
  • Includes school bands, drumlines, dance teams, cheer squads, step teams, or other school-affiliated performance groups.
  • Performs or marches together in coordinated attire, uniforms, or themed outfits.
  • Does not utilize floats, vehicles, or motorized equipment (unless pre-approved for specific performance needs).
  • Adheres to the parade’s guidelines for spacing, safety, and orderly conduct throughout the parade route.
  • Applications for organizations identified as corporate, small business, non-profit, and/or political groups will not be accepted under this application. Those groups should complete the appropriate application for parade inclusion.

Please note that there is a MANDATORY volunteer training before the event that approved volunteers are required to attend. We look forward to reviewing your application.

April 4th - Parade Day (6a-3pm)

April 4th - 404 Day Block Party (8a-5p)
