The mission of the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games is to preserve the heritage and culture of Scotland by fostering national and international sporting, dancing and music competition, as well as cultural performances of the Scottish clans, education, folklore, music, arts, piping, drumming, athletic events and other festivities in the area. The SMSFG shall remain a viable leader in family entertainment and good stewards of our assets, giving back to the community.

Parking instructions
Onsite Parking is available at the Greater Smokies Event Grounds behind the Games field. Please look for the Event Parking signage to direct you to the correct Parking location. The Parking fee is $15 per vehicle and all fees go to the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department.
Health & safety
The Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games is an outdoor, rain or shine event held at the Greater Smokies Event Grounds (the grassy fields next to the Townsend Visitors Center). This is a walking event over somewhat uneven, grassy terrain, which may become muddy in rainy weather. Please dress appropriately for outdoor weather and extensive walking.

The Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games is a rain or shine event. Since we hold the event regardless of weather, we do not refund pre-purchased tickets or tickets purchased at the gate.
