CousinzCon is the official pre-festival summit of Cousinz Festival—a free one-day community experience designed to bring together leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, educators, advocates, and community members for meaningful conversations that inspire action. Hosted at the Historic Attucks Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia, CousinzCon explores the issues shaping our communities through engaging panel discussions focused on financial literacy, health and wellness, education, civic engagement, and media and entertainment. Rooted in the belief that Cousinz is more than music, this summit is designed to foster community connection, personal growth, and collaboration while providing attendees with practical knowledge and actionable tools they can apply long after the festival weekend. Whether you're looking to build wealth, improve your health, advance your career, strengthen your community, or hear from industry leaders and changemakers, CousinzCon offers programming for every generation. Admission is free with registration. Seating is first come, first served and subject to the capacity of the Historic Attucks Theatre.

Parking instructions

Limited on-site parking is available at no cost in the Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority flat lot, diagonally opposite the Attucks Theatre on the corner of Church Street and E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Parking in the surrounding area is limited. Attendees are strongly encouraged to use rideshare services or carpool when possible.

Health & safety

Security screening and bag inspections may be conducted upon entry. Please follow all venue policies and instructions provided by event staff and security personnel. Emergency procedures will be communicated onsite if necessary.

Your free registration includes access to all scheduled panel discussions and programming at the Historic Attucks Theatre on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM–7:00 PM. Doors open at 1:00 PM. Join community leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, educators, and industry professionals for an afternoon of conversations focused on financial literacy, health and wellness, education, civic engagement, and media and entertainment. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to venue capacity. Parking in the surrounding area is limited. Thank you for your interest in participating in CousinzCon 2026, the official pre-festival summit of Cousinz Festival.

CousinzCon is a free community experience that brings together local, regional, and national leaders for conversations centered around financial literacy, health and wellness, education, civic engagement, and media and entertainment.

We are seeking a limited number of community organizations, nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and mission-driven businesses to provide resources and engage with attendees throughout the event.

Please note that electricity and internet access are not guaranteed and will be provided only upon availability.

This is a community resource opportunity. Sales activities & Food and beverage vendors are not permitted under this application.
