Unaccompanied Minors
Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the fairgrounds all day.
Weather Policy
No refunds will be issued for ticket purchases. Please check weather conditions before attending and purchasing tickets. Since weather is beyond our control, we cannot offer refunds due to inclement conditions.
Bag Policy
We reserve the right to inspect bags, cartons, containers, or coolers brought in or out of the fairgrounds at any time.
Alcohol Policy
Bringing outside alcohol into the fairgrounds is strictly prohibited.
Concessions
The fair features a full-service concession area with various food options. No outside food or beverages are allowed. All alcohol purchased on-site must remain within designated areas.
Leaving/Re-entering the Fair
Tickets and wristbands are only valid on the day of issuance. If you leave the fairgrounds and wish to return, you must keep your stamp or wristband intact. After the box office closes at 7:00 PM, there is absolutely no re-entry to the fairgrounds.
Pets Policy
Only service animals are allowed on the fairgrounds, except for those involved in Michigan State Fair exhibits or shows.
Smoke-Free Environment
To create a healthier environment, the Michigan State Fair is designated as a smoke-free venue.
Lost Children
If you encounter a lost child, please take them to the Fair Office located in Building B Hall or seek immediate assistance from security personnel.
Lost & Found
If you lose an item, report it to the Fair Office in Building B Hall. If you find an item, please turn it in to the Fair Office or the nearest security personnel.
Photography & Video
The Michigan State Fair reserves the right to use any photographs or videos taken at the fair, including but not limited to publications, media materials, social media, television, and websites. No written permission is required for the use of such media.
Voluntary Acknowledgement of Risks and Release of Liability
By entering the Michigan State Fairgrounds, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of engaging in activities that could result in physical or mental injury, death, illness, disease, or property damage. You voluntarily assume all risks in exchange for the opportunity to participate in fair activities. In consideration for being allowed to enter and use the fairgrounds, you agree, on behalf of yourself, heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, to release and hold harmless the Michigan State Fair, a Private Entity LLC, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action related to your participation in any activity at the fair.
Violence or Threats
Any act of violence, including but not limited to shootings, is strictly prohibited. The Michigan State Fair is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all its attendees, and any person engaging in violent behavior will be immediately removed from the premises and may face legal consequences.
Mask Policy
For the safety of all attendees, wearing masks is not permitted within the fairgrounds.
