Celebrate Nashville's rich and diverse arts and culture scene with an Art & Craft Fair, live music and other performances, a Kids Zone full of activities for all ages, and live artist demos. Free admission and parking. This annual event celebrates the artistic legacy of groundbreaking sculptor William Edmondson, the first African American to receive a solo exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1937.

Only $50 thru June 30! We're seeking visual artists and craftspeople for the annual William Edmondson Arts & Culture Festival!
 
For Established Artists: This marketplace area is for "Established Artists", defined as artists and craftspeople with art fair experience and their own tent and display materials
 
This festival will honor and celebrate the legacy of Edgehill’s famous historical artist William Edmondson, by promoting and nurturing the arts in Nashville. A large section of the festival will be set up just for artists to sell their creations and bring awareness to their work. 
 
Additionally, there will be time slots available on the main stage for vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, and other performing artists.

Established Artists (see definition above) details:
  • We will provide space for a 10x10 foot pop-up tent in our “artist marketplace” area
  • You will provide your own tent, with suitable safety weights
  • You will provide your own display materials; ie., shelves, displays, tables, chairs, etc. 
 
Details for All Artists:
  • Setup begins at 7:30AM. Must be ready to go by 9:30AM. Show starts promptly at 10:00AM and runs until 4:00PM.
  • No electric power. Generators not allowed. All electrical must be battery-powered
  • You handle your sales and keep all proceeds 
  • You will handle your own payments, wrapping/packing materials etc.
  • Street and lot parking only. Be prepared with carts or wagons if you need. No vehicles allowed on the park grounds at any time including setup or teardown.
  • Volunteers MAY be available to assist with setup/teardown, but are not guaranteed.
 
Requirements for All Artists:
  • Original artwork or craft only. All media are welcome.
  • Artwork produced mostly by assistants with commercial kits, molds, patterns, plans, prefabricated forms, or other commercial methods, is not permitted
  • Any commercially-made embellishments must be subordinate to the handcrafted work
  • Upcycled/Recycled artwork, the finished pieces must show a substantial manipulation of the materials and originality in design and medium to be eligible 
  • Lewd or Profane content is prohibited; must be friendly to all age groups
  • Copyrighted designs not owned by the artist may not be used, nor may commercially manufactured artwork be shown
  • Nashville-area artists are prioritized
  • Artists are encouraged to promote to their audiences in addition to promotions by WE Fest
Cost: Established Artists (individual tent):
  • Early Bird Registration- $50 if signed up by 6/30!
  • Standard Registration fee of $75 7/1-8/31
  • Last Minute Registration fee of $100 if registered 9/1-10/21
Emerging Artist Vendor (shared tent)

The Emerging Artist tent is an area set aside for artists with limited selling experience and/or without your own booth setup. We provide table, chairs, and a marketplace vibe!
 
This festival celebrates the legacy of Edgehill’s famous historical artist William Edmondson, by promoting and nurturing the arts in Nashville. A large section of the festival will be set up just for artists and craftspeople to sell their creations and bring awareness to their work. 
 
Additionally, there will be time slots available on the main stage for vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, and other performing artists.

  • We will provide roughly eight linear feet of space for each artist in our large “Emerging Artists” tent, including a 6 foot table and two chairs
  • Depending on the number of participants, more space and more tables may be available
  • You will provide any other display materials; ie., shelves, displays, tablecloths etc.

The Friends of the William Edmondson Homesite is gearing up for the annual William Edmondson Arts & Culture Festival!
 
Your non-profit or public agency is invited to spread your message and mission, at no cost! Sponsorship and other opportunities are also available.
 
This festival will honor and celebrate the legacy of Edgehill’s famous historical artist William Edmondson by promoting and nurturing the arts in Nashville. This will be a family-friendly event for the neighborhood and the city at large. Various artists will be present providing lessons and live demos, as well as offering artwork for sale. Performing artists and special guests will also be present!
 
We hope your organization will consider contributing to the festival and showcasing your mission and offers to the community, by doing one or more of the following: 
 
  • Set up a booth. Reserve a 10x10 foot space, at no cost, to share information about your non-profit organization at the festival. We encourage you to provide interactive, kid-friendly engagement activities, such as displays, artist demos, or performances
 
  • Join us in the Kids' Zone! Sponsor or provide your display or performance inside our shared Kids' Zone tent! 
 
  • Partner with us to provide volunteers, resources, or in-kind gifts to help make the event successful. 
 
  • Spread the word about the festival with your email and personal networks, and Social Media

Calling all Food Trucks! Join us at the Annual William Edmondson Arts & Culture Festival in Edgehill!

This festival will honor and celebrate the legacy of Edgehill’s famous historical artist William Edmondson, by promoting and nurturing the arts in Nashville. 
 
The multi-acre site will be teeming with attendees; interacting with art and craft exhibitors, enjoying mainstage performances, and participating in family-friendly activities including kids' painting lessons, puppetry, and more! Last year we had over a thousand attendees; this year we expect double that attendance or more! 
 
Benefits

  • Priority invitation to Future Events
  • Limited food trucks will be allowed on-site, with a variety of offerings, to limit direct competition and allow you maximum revenue!
Details
  • A portion of the festival site will be set aside as a "food court", for Trucks and tent vendors, with seating and lots of open space for picnicking. This is near the Kids Zone and artist tents, for visibility and traffic.
  • Setup begins at 7:30AM. Must be ready to go by 9:30AM. Show starts promptly at 10:00AM and runs until 4:00PM. For safety of attendees, food trucks may not be removed from site before 4:00PM
  • Food trucks must be self-contained, with your own power source, if needed. No electric power is available on site. Small generators are allowed. Must be safely situated. 
  • Trailer-style setups are acceptable but must be unhitched from the hauling vehicle, and the hauling vehicle parked offsite.
