The Gulf Beaches Rotary Club has been supporting the needs of our local community for over 60 years. This club contributes approximately $50,000 each year to local and international efforts to make the community and world a better place in which to live. This is the 13th Annual Spring Break event and it has drawn over 10,000 participants during each 4-day period. The event is organized and managed by volunteers. All of the proceeds are deposited into the club’s foundation. Every dollar in the foundation is directed by the Board to help those in need including: St. Pete Free Clinic, Eckerd College Search and Rescue, Metropolitan Ministries, All children’s Hospital, Guardian ad Litem, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Pinellas Education Scholarships, Voices for Children and many other very deserving organizations. Most businesses have budgeted funds for contribution to charitable causes. What better place could those funds be directed than to this event. Not only will the contribution be redistributed by an established and reputable organization, they will also have the benefit of promoting their business to thousands of potential customers. It’s a “no brainer”.
