About the event
The 22nd Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival is North Florida’s premiere outdoor fine art festival. Located in downtown Tallahassee along Park Avenue, the festival provides an opportunity for art lovers and artists to connect over the weekend. Expect to have a first-class, fun-filled outdoor cultural experience. View amazing, original, and one-of-a-kind works of art from 150 fine artists in a delightful Southern outdoor setting. Live entertainment will be available, along with local food trucks, chalk artists, and libations served by Il Lusso at the festival bar. The Evening Groove is BACK! Featuring Tallahassee Nights Live! group. Get ready to dance in the streets and celebrate having the Chain of Parks Festival back in full swing. The festival has expanded this year to offer new and exciting programs to bring the community unique fine art experiences such as FSU’s Opening Nights Special Presenting Artist event with artist Lana Shuttleworth and an Artist Workshop at LeMoyne Arts, all leading up to the festival weekend with Artists in the Park April 23-24, 2022!

The Chain of Parks Art Festival is pleased to offer a Rain Barrel Painting Workshop led by Guest Artist, Pattie Maney. NEW DATE: The Chain of Parks Art Festival is hosting a workshop on Sunday, May 15th from 12-5pm celebrating Earth Day and the Festival activities. Held outside in LeMoyne’s Helen Lind Garden this workshop will guide for up to 8 participants. Workshop registration: -$160 for LeMoyne Arts Current Members (Coupon code = GREENCoP22, 1 per person) -$185 for non-members Registration includes: • 1 up-purposed rain barrel with fixtures provided by the City’s of Tallahassee’s TAPP program • Paint and other supplies • In person instruction and guidance from professional artists, Joy Green • Light assortment of drinks and snacks What to bring: • A sketch or photo of what you would like to paint • Clothes suitable for painting project • Brown-bag lunch About the artist instructor, Pattie Maney: Pattie has been an artist here in Tallahassee for 20 years and has enjoyed working with all types of materials mainly focusing on painting animals and abstract flowers landscapes. She’s taught art to all ages and sincerely appreciates Tallahassee for the support it shows all of its artists. She has a show at sage restaurant currently and can often be found at her studio at Railroad Square.

The estimated festival attendance is 35-40,000 attendees throughout the weekend. Booth space is limited. Applications are accepted for review until January 31, 2022. If space is available, late applications may be considered with a $25 late fee. Applications will be reviewed and you will get a notification provided via email/ Eventeny messaging. Please make sure to check you junk/ spam folders. Information, maps, set up times, permits, sales tax, rules & regulations, all will be found on Eventeny or via email. Please note that previous Chain of Parks Art Festival food vendors will get priority placement for 2022 to maintain consistency. Please also note we are looking for a variety of vendors in terms of the type of food provided, we want to provide balanced options for all attendees. Our Main Stage is located in the Center Court on Calhoun and features a variety of local bands and aspiring singer/songwriters along with crowd-pleasing local performing arts groups. Pop-up performances can be seen throughout the festival, mainly in the children's area called "The Village" to keep everyone entertained all weekend. The festival welcomes performers to apply to perform on a volunteer basis. In return, performers receive exposure to thousands of visitors at the festival, a listing in the festival program performance schedule and online schedule with a photo and link to webpage, a space by the stage to promote future performances and to sell CD’s, inclusion in pre-event marketing campaigns, and to say thank you, a drink ticket for each performer. Tallahassee Nights Live! will be our Evening Groove performer this year. Feel free to stay and enjoy the performance at 5:30pm on Saturday! Important Dates Setup Times, Schedule & Information Provided: Late March/Early April 2022 Event Set-Up: Friday, April 22, 2022 Event Dates: April 23 & 24, 2022 Event Times: Saturday from 10am – 5pm, with an Evening Groove from 5:30-7:30pm, Sunday, from 10am – 4pm Please note that past selected performance groups will generally get priority placement for 2022 for the sake of our historical partnership. Upon acceptance to participate, the Festival’s Entertainment Chair will work with each group to schedule an appropriate performance time. The Festival, through the City of Tallahassee, provides the sound system, soundboard operator, and plug-ins for a maximum of 12 inputs. The stage is approximately 32’ wide and 14’ deep. Upon acceptance to participate, you will be asked to complete a Stage Plot Form showing placement of plug-ins and equipment. By applying, you are agreeing to perform free of charge for the Chain of Parks Art Festival. In consideration of performing, the following benefits are provided by the Festival: 1.) Mention in Festival Magazine, with photo. Online feature with bio & photo. 2.) Inclusion in Pre-Event marketing campaigns. 3.) One tented 8’ table and two chairs adjacent to the stage for autographs, photos and sales of band merchandise during and after your group’s performance. 4.) Digital festival postcard available for pre-show promotion.

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 15 Thank you for your interest in performing at the Chain of Parks Art Festival! The festival welcomes performers to apply to perform on a volunteer basis. Performance times are available throughout the weekend of April 23 & 24, 2022 from 10AM – 5PM on Saturday and 10AM-4PM on Sunday. Upon acceptance to participate, The Entertainment Chair will work with each group to schedule appropriate performance times. While our Main Stage is located in the Center Court on Calhoun and features a variety of local bands and aspiring singer/songwriters along with crowd-pleasing local performing arts groups, we ALSO have a pop-up performance area in the children's section called "The Village". This is the perfect spot for less-music-focused entertainers like storybook tellers, educational demonstrations, solo acts, etc. This is in a grassy area with a white fenced outline to create a "stage". The Village is an area within the Festival that provides opportunities for community connections to an estimated 35-40,000+ enthusiastic visitors! The purpose of this area is to promote organizations that support the arts in our community. The Village incorporates Community Partners, Pop-Up Studios, Sponsor Booths, and the historical Jacques Le Moyne Encampment, with fun foods, ENTERTAINMENT, and more! Your participating in the Festival provides the following benefits: -Outreach opportunities to a community of kids (and their parents) interesting in art & performance -Digital festival postcard available for pre-show promotion -Listing in the Festival Program under The Village -Listing on the Entertainment Schedule sign located in The Village Requirements to participate: -Our organization agrees that we will not sell any products or charge for any services during our participation. We understand that we are welcome to provide information about our organization, along with our performance. -We acknowledge that The Village is a paid Festival sponsored area that receives exclusive sponsor recognition. Our organization will be listed in the Festival Program under The Village and promoted as space allows. -We acknowledge there is not a stage, but a flat grassy performance area for us to perform. -We acknowledge the festival will provide 1 mic and 1 speaker. We will need to bring our own stereo if needed.
