What does compliance mean?

Eventeny is SOC 2 compliant, the industry standard for software companies. This means that in addition to internal checks, firewalls, 2-factor authentification, and data encryption, we've also had a third-party audit our servers, making sure that your data is always secure and safe.

What is 2FA?

2FA, or two-factor authentication is a security process, usually triggered during sign-in, when a user provides identification from an additional source, which can be:

  • a passphrase
  • one-time passcode
  • authenticator app
We require our organizers to enable 2FA, as a security measure to protect your account, and the data stored from bad actors.

Eventeny security FAQs

Is Eventeny PCI compliant?

Yes, certified Level 1 PCI DSS, the highest tier. Payments and card data are handled to that standard, not stored or processed casually.

How is my data protected in transit and at rest?

256-bit TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest.

Does Eventeny support two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Yes, users can sign in with their email or phone number. New accounts are prompted to set it up automatically; existing accounts can enable it anytime in Account Settings.

Will Eventeny ever contact me directly asking for payment or login info?

No - never. Any message asking for card numbers, bank details, or login credentials outside the platform should be treated as fraudulent.

What if an event organizer asks me to pay outside Eventeny (Venmo, Zelle, wire, etc.)?

Don't. Legitimate transactions stay on-platform, and Eventeny can't assist with disputes on payments made elsewhere.

Where is my data stored, and who has access to it?

AWS infrastructure, in data centers certified SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001. Access is controlled by permissions you set at the event or organization level.

What happens if something fails? Do you have backups?

Yes, we have geo-redundant backups, documented disaster recovery plans, and 24/7/365 monitoring.

How often is Eventeny's security tested?

Daily automated scans, weekly dependency checks, monthly endpoint scans, plus regular third-party penetration tests.

Does Eventeny sell or share my data?

Never. Your data is yours, and you can export it to CSV anytime.

How do I report a security concern?
