This family-friendly event gives you a chance to meet and support local
authors, independent publishers, and local bookstores.
As unapologetic lovers of original, human-created stories, poetry of all
genres, and nonfiction that serves our need for knowledge and connects us with
others, the San Jose Book Festival seeks to unite readers and writers to
celebrate the written word. Our programs will encourage new and lifelong
readers alike to revive our shared joy.
In a challenging time for creatives and publishing, our family-friendly events
will highlight the current vanguard in literature: small-press and hybrid
publishers, local authors, independent bookstores, and the grassroots
organizations that support them.
