80% Virginia Grown Shetland Wool, 10% Merino Wool, 10% Nylon 200 yard skein, approx 1.6 oz 400 yard skein, approx 3.5 oz The beauty of Shetland Sheep are all the varied natural colors that grows on their backs. This yarn is a natural Latte Brown the color of the coffee with cream. Yarn is lofty smooth, silky soft, yet strong fingering weight yarn that is a beautiful example of what Shetland yarn can be. This yarn was 5 years in the making, experimenting with mills, growing our flock to include several of the natural colors that Shetland is known for. Shetland wool developed through natural selection – is a combination of a cashmere like undercoating with soft-strong guard hair.
