Bell the Cat was completed on January 31st, 2020. Acrylic on hardwood, 30”x 30” with an 1 1/2” cradle. One of a kind, no prints. Here is her story...The use of hallucinogenics led to bi-polar beginnings until Madeline found herself someplace, somewhere, sometime else. She was “orientationally unavailable” at that moment and for many to come. The mask is worn to hide, cover-up and misdirect questions from authoritarians religious moralists.

Jay Thompson is the creator, curator and keeper of a large collection of curios that he collectively calls CAT WORKS. ANTHROPOMORPHISM: The giving of human characteristics to animals, so says Wikipedia. I’d rather say WHIMSICAL SURREALISM. These are amazing, deep textured, one of a kind acrylic paintings on hardwood, 30”x 30” with an 1 1/2” cradle. Being an artist I tend to not have business hours, plus our studio is our residence, so you can't just drop by and say "What's on the easel?" At least not without calling. Here's our number (314) 960-2079. But, if your viewing this collection virtually (as you must be) then I would encourage you to make an appointment to see and experience these paintings in person. Another thing...all my painting are full of exquisite texture that can only be explored with your fingers. I highly encourage this exploration...to find yet another level of enjoyment.
