Flowers On The Trail Acrylic on canvas About Miriam... Miriam was born in Saskatchewan. She took many art classes and produced a variety of oil paintings in her youth on the prairies. Choosing a career in business and raising a family became her priorities but she craved to spend time on art. In 2017, Miriam relocated to Vancouver Island amid personal health issues. She was overwhelmed by the natural beauty in the Comox Valley and took up the brushes again. Miriam has attended many classes through local studios and colleges and is currently being mentored. She has changed her medium to acrylics and has enjoyed the benefits that art has provided to her health. She is also thankful for the supportive arts community that is present on Vancouver Island. She has a total sense of release and creativity when in front of the easel and is gratified with the work being done.
