Field and Forest I Mixed media on canvas About Linda: Linda began painting as a hobby but it soon became a passion, inspired by our iconic west coast landscapes. Primarily self taught, Linda paints in both representational and abstract styles, and enjoys a variety of media including acrylics, paper and fabric collage, and a variety of inks. Linda also creates fine crafts using wood, fabric, yarns, metals and paper. She delights in using found and upcycled materials to create new forms of artistic expression. Linda is a member of the Coast Collective, the Sooke Arts Council, theArts and Culture Colwood Society, the ArtSea Community Arts Council in Sidney and the Esquimalt Community Arts Hub. She has shown her paintings in juried shows at the former Coast Collective Gallery (now closed) and the Metchosin ArtPod. Linda is an active contributor and volunteer at the Sooke Arts Council where she particpates in the member shows. Linda lives in Colwood with her husband Ron.
