Vesuvius in Italy, where it was first discovered. It also sometimes goes by the name Idocrase. It comes in various colors, but the most common is a soft mossy green, sometimes touched with brown. Vesuvianite is said to help balance and uplift the emotions. If you are feeling angry or sad or uncertain, this gemstone helps to break the pattern of negative thoughts.
