Description
Delicate , translucent petals with a subtle shimmer in very pale shades of pink, green and white, run the length of this mixed media necklace, crocheted from very fine, rose gold toned copper wire. Each petal was separately crafted using a hand-tinted, abaca fiber wet process (used for handmade paper) that I created specifically for jewelry making. The petals are glazed to give them a glass-like finish. This necklace is very dimensional and whisper light. The length of the necklace is 19 inches, including the rose gold leaf toggle clasp. Each petal is about 1/2 inch long.

Gossamer Tangles is an outgrowth of my life-long love of crochet and needle arts. The jewelry I design and make is one-of-a-kind. I find that conceiving a design in my mind and then bringing it to life between my fingers, instills a remarkable mix of wonder, excitement and satisfaction.
Color, texture and imagination, often inspired by my observations of the natural world and works of art, are the key components in my creations.
