Formally trained as a graphic designer in Montréal, I subsequently discovered the tremendous liberation found in expressing my imagination and projecting my unique whimsical imagery on surfaces using the power of texture and colour. The relationship between colour and shape is of great importance to me and has always fueled my creative process. In my current ‘’Ocean Series’’, I juxtapose wide, undulating swathes of vibrant colour representing the sea, with areas transformed by block printing to project the dynamic potential within the static. These blocks of vivid colour depicting the terrestrial world possess a quilt-like character and stand ready to reward the eye drawn away from the dominant and pleasing hues of the adjacent aquatic realm. I reside in Newmarket, Ontario and my paintings are currently held in corporate and private collections around the world, including Europe, Austral-Asia, Japan, and South and North America.
