Nikkie Milner is a Dallas native who has loved art for as long as she can remember. That passion was affirmed early when a painting she created in elementary school earned her first award, which was a moment that confirmed both a natural talent and a lifelong calling. She pursued that passion through a BFA in Art Education and a Master's degree in School Counseling, then spent nine years teaching high school art at Highland Park before stepping away to raise her three children.
Nikkie's work is rooted in the belief that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made, reflecting the beauty and intention of God's creation. Through intricate florals and winged creatures layered with detailed cellular patterns, she invites viewers to pause and see themselves as God sees them, free from the pressures of culture or comparison. Her art is a gentle reminder that if even our microscopic cells are intricate and beautiful, so too is the person made from them.
When she isn't painting, Nikkie enjoys life with her husband, three children, goldendoodle, and two cats, drawing continual inspiration from the rhythm of home and the sacred found in everyday life. She creates from her home studio and shows her work at galleries and events throughout the DFW region.
