The Mountain and Valley Wool Association (MAVWA) is celebrating their 42nd year hosting the annual Mountain and Valley Fiber Arts Festival (formerly the Taos Wool Festival); to be held in Durango, Colorado. An outstanding regional fiber arts market with juried vendors displaying their own products made from a variety of natural fiber and artistic creations. Yarn, roving, raw fleece and tools are also available. Food vendors serving regional favorites, and other delicious choices. With the added ambience of live music and demonstrations, the festival is unique and fun for the whole family.
MAVWA is a membership organization open to all. Its mission is to promote fiber from all fiber bearing animals, as well as other natural fibers and to pass on the rich history of fiber-related crafts to the next group of fiber enthusiasts.
