The goal is to preserve and further the Bulgarian culture and traditions in the United States. The group conducts teaching sessions for traditional Bulgarian folk dances and aims to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the richness of Bulgarian folklore. Furthermore, the purpose of the group is not only to educate, but to create a unique social and cultural environment and unite people sharing the common love for traditional Bulgarian culture. Since January 2013, with the help of the new choreographer Vesselin Vassilev, the group expanded its work to choreographed dances from different Bulgarian folklore regions and started performing at different events and occasions
The women’s choir has been established in 2013 by Diliana Slavova. The focus of the choral program is to perform traditional Bulgarian folk songs and introduce the rich, ancient tradition of the Bulgarian music not only to our community but to the vast American audience too.
