Graustark Farm LLC will be in person at the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival in 2021 and NOT selling online. Our items are only available at the festival. The farm has been producing soft, silky llama fiber through a focused breeding program for over 20 years. Llama fleece is soft, clean, and warm. Lacking the lanolin of sheep wool, clean llama fleece comes off the animal ready to spin into beautiful yarns. Many in our faithful llama herd produce the lovely fiber we use in various spinning, weaving, felting, & other needlework projects.
Using traditional spinning and weaving tools and classic structures, our various handmade designs & accessories are available for purchase. We also offer processed roving and a small selection of hand spun and mill spun yarns in natural colors and other llama related items for sale. The llamas of Weasel Brook farm live at Graustark and we will also have items produced by their owners for sale.
We are excited about our future growth in opening GF FiberWorks. The new studio will showcase antique and traditional spinning wheels and looms along with our own home grown fibers for other spinners and weavers to see and use in a retreat or educational format. Although the studio is not open yet, a large barn frame loom and a few wheels will be on display at the festival.
