B’s Barnyard Buddies is run by Meghan and Brandon, and was inspired by their son Brody. Brody was born in 2009 with a neurological condition and autism. Doctors at the time said Brody would never be able to walk or talk. He immediately began a multitude of therapies and quickly smashed the doctors’ initial expectations. Now in 2024, Brody is a walking, talking, and thriving 15-year-old teenager with a simple joy for life! In 2022, Meghan and Brody attended a special event at Hidden Acres Animal Sanctuary. They immediately fell in love with the animals there, and Brody quickly developed a special connection with many of the animals. Meghan, Brandon, and Brody joined the volunteer team at HAAS and began working with the animals several times a week. Brody was very natural with the animals, and the animals bonded with him almost instantly. Meghan would become the rehabilitation director and adoptables doctor at HAAS. She spent countless hours focusing on the health, nutrition, and medical needs of the animals. Meghan has done some basic medical training with a licensed veterinarian, is Famacha score certified, and is comfortable medicating and giving shots. In 2023, the three of them began volunteering at another animal sanctuary, Save the Horses. Meghan and Brandon recognize that each facility has different needs for their animals, and they follow a rotation to maintain their volunteer work for both locations. Brody loves working with farm animals and has soaked up extensive information about how to care for them. Meghan and Brandon wanted to create a business that focuses on the care and needs of farm animals, and that Brody could take part in to learn work responsibility. B’s Barnyard Buddies, L.L.C. was created in 2024 and provides farm-sitting services that focus on comprehensive care of animals and agricultural properties. Their mission is to offer peace of mind to farmers and property owners by ensuring the well-being of their livestock, pets, and overall farm infrastructure during their absence. Their team of experienced and dedicated farm sitters aims to become the go-to solution for farm owners seeking reliable and professional care for their agricultural investments, and making sure your “farmily” is treated like family when you are away
