We participated in the Mimosa Festival and were ultimately unable to sell due to an issue with the organizer, Jim, who, we were told, did not have the proper documentation for vendors to operate.
We were informed by another event organizer that we would receive a refund, but unfortunately, we have yet to receive it. Additionally, we were not notified by email or otherwise that the organizer had been removed or that the event had been canceled due to the paperwork issue. We worked hard just for us to get turned back around. Very upset and disappointed.
I participated in Red, White, and Boom in July 2024. It was the worst festival I have ever worked as a vendor. The instructions were not correct. First, we were to check in at a station when we arrived there was no place for us to check in. The police didn't want to let us into the vendor area because we didn't have anything indicating that we were a vendor. We were told that we needed to tear down before the fireworks. We had no way to do this. It was a very dangerous situation to have cars in the area where the people were watching the fireworks. There were no booth assignments and we had to pick our place. No one was there to let us know if we were in the right place or to answer any questions.
