Iftikhar is the founder of Treeline Designz a global awards winning landscape and garden design and consulting firm based in Portland OR USA. Iftikhar is the direct decedent of the famous Mian noble family who was the custodians of the Shalimar gardens for more than 350 years. The Shalimar garden was built in 1641 and is situated in Lahore Pakistan and now the Shalimar garden is a UNESCO world heritage. Iftikhar grew up in a nursery and botanical garden which was owned by his late father who was a legend in the field of horticulture. His love and passion for the environment and flora and fauna led him on the path of horticulture and landscape design studies and research. His acquired expertise and knowledge in horticulture, landscape design, and project management came through hands-on experience and working closely with clients, architects, and contractors from various past and present projects. His extensive project experience span across the USA, Europe, and Southeast Asia. For over 25 years he designed and delivered some of the most inspiring gardens with a focus on creating contemporary-lifestyle outdoor spaces. His ability to turn a client’s wishes into reality with artistic integrity, imagination, and pragmatism, has resulted in an exciting, eclectic portfolio of successful projects. His extensive training also involved six years of research on botanical gardens, history &garden design in different countries around the world. His current work spans in15 countries, in both the private and public sectors.
