Old Town Artisan Studios is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a warm and inviting place where people of all ages can reveal their creativity. We offer instruction and classes in clay, fused glass, painting, drawing, and other art mediums. The fee-based classes for children, adults, and seniors, along with private workshops and events help to support the free and reduced-fee instruction offered to our local residents in need. Old Town Artisan Studios mission is to provide “hands on” art experiences and education for all ages and abilities, despite emotional, physical or financial challenges. Our mission began in 2009 in Old Town La Quinta and now has moved to an art campus only blocks away. We offer classes in many mediums to valley residents and visitors all year and partner with a number of non-profits such as Desert Arc, Angel View, Jewish Family Services, Alzheimer’s Assoc., YMCA and Boys & Girls Club after school programs and more with free and low fee classes. We are grateful for the mission these past months to assemble thousands of Art2Go Kits that have been distributed through FIND Food Bank and Non-Profit leaders throughout the valley. The kits were made possible through individual donors and local grants. The campus is open for classes, Paint Your Own Pottery, custom family and friend small group classes under the health guidelines. Our annual Gingerbread Lane free family event will be modified and an exciting spring Eggstravaganza Show and fundraiser featuring hundreds of amazing artists also soon to be announced. We have so many to thank and particularly a huge thank you to Dianne and the Indian Wells Art Festival for inviting us free each and every year since the beginning of our mission.
