Hi Everyone! My name is Briella, and I am twelve years old. I’ve had a passion for art and animals since before I could even talk! I’ve been taking art lessons from a private art teacher for the past seven years. That is more than half my life! I love creating with different mediums, but painting and ceramics are my favorite. My love for animals started when I was an infant, and I would lay next to my Jack Russell Terrier, Lotto. We also have a standard collie named Primo, and a goldendoodle named Poppy. I trained Primo to become a therapy dog, and he passed his therapy test in 2019! Poppy loves agility training. I also have a strong love for horses! I take riding lessons at a local stable. I love participating in horse shows, and I have a goal to go on a trail ride in every state. So far I’ve checked Hawaii and North Carolina off my list. When I grow up my dream is to live on a farm and have my own vet practice. I am particularly interested in Veterinary Pathology. I love studying disease and it's effect on animals. I want to help cure and prevent both animal and human disease. My mom homeschooled us this past year and always leads our learning by following our interests. I wanted to learn more about illegal animal trade after watching videos of the Wuhan Wet Markets that were in the news. We started researching, and I was very sad with what was happening. This is where Lamphere Made comes in. I wanted to combine my love of art, and my love for animals, to help put an end to animal cruelty. 🐺 Profits go to local (Raleigh, NC area) charities doing work to stop animal cruelty.
