Can we set up an option to pay by check?

Hello Joseph! Thanks for your question. We do not have the ability for applicants to pay by check at this time. An alternative that we do offer is the ability for applicants to pay via ACH instead of using their card information. Another alternative is to issue an invoice to the applicant via the invoicing feature, and then including the address to send a check to in the memo box. Then, you can mark the invoice as paid. However, this will not allow you to track payments in the financial reporting areas of the platform as the payment is not recorded in the payments section, and this may throw off your accounting a bit. What would it take to be able to manually park a vendor as paid (ie. by check, cash, in-kind, etc.) to that it shows through the flow and tracking? Marking the invoice as paid is not really an effective means to manage the vendor process if you have to open each vendor to see if they still owe payment. Also, asking a vendor to go online to check-out using a "check" coupon code to zero out their account after they have paid check/check/in-kind because our event managers are not able to mark them as paid, is not user friendly.

Hi Tamara, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts with us! I completely understand where you're coming from. At this time, Eventeny does not allow offline payments—such as check, cash, or in-kind contributions—under our Terms of Service. Because of this, there isn’t a supported option to manually mark vendors as paid by those methods within the platform, outside of manually marking an issued invoice as paid. While we know this is a highly requested feature, we’re unable to support offline payment tracking due to important compliance and platform integrity considerations. As a result, it’s not something we plan to implement moving forward. We do recommend using coupon codes or issuing $0 invoices as a workaround in cases of sponsorship or in-kind arrangements, though we understand that may not be ideal in every scenario. For those on a "Pro" plan, would in-person payments be covered by the "Merchandise point-of-sale & box office management" feature? It would feel odd if we were forced to card/online payment only, even when in person. Are we able to sell "vendor" booths day-of via this feature as well? We often have last minute vendor spaces open and have vendors come in day one to fill those spaces on a first come first serve and they may not have gone through the built-in application process.
