2026 evAwards Terms & Conditions

Contest Period: November 2, 2026, through December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

By submitting a nomination or voting in the 2026 evAwards contest (“Contest”), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. The Contest is sponsored and administered by Stooge Inc., doing business as Eventeny (“Eventeny,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. About the evAwards

The evAwards recognize outstanding live events hosted in the United States and Canada during the 2026 calendar year. The Contest celebrates event organizers and the events that bring communities together.

The 2026 evAwards feature the following People's Choice categories:

Best Event of 2026: Grand Prize winner
Best Festival
Best Convention
Best Market
Best Fair

The event receiving the most valid votes overall will be named Best Event of 2026 and receive the Grand Prize. Four additional awards will be presented to the events receiving the most valid votes within each of the four remaining categories.

2. Event Eligibility

To be eligible for nomination and consideration in the 2026 evAwards, an event must meet the following requirements:

The event must have been hosted in 2026.
The event must be a live, in-person event. Virtual events are not eligible.
The event must take place in the United States or Canada.
The event must qualify as a festival, convention, market, fair, or community event.
The event must be verifiable through a legitimate event website or an official Eventeny event page. Invalid domains and social media pages, including Facebook and Instagram, cannot be used as standalone sources for event verification.

Eventeny reserves the right to review nominations and determine whether an event meets these eligibility requirements. Nominations that cannot be verified or do not meet the stated criteria may be rejected or removed from the Contest.

3. Nomination Process

Nominations open November 2, 2026, and close December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Nominations must be submitted through the official evAwards nomination page before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Nominations must be submitted by a member of the event's organizing team who is authorized to submit information on the event's behalf. Community members and other individuals who are not part of the organizing team may share the nomination opportunity with the event organizer but may not submit a nomination on the organizer's behalf.

Each nomination must include the required event information, including the event name, event type, dates, location, website, a description explaining why the event deserves recognition, and at least one image, up to a maximum of ten images.

Nominators are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, complete, and authorized for use. Eventeny may request additional information or documentation to verify an event's eligibility or the accuracy of its nomination.

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that an event will be included in the Contest. Eventeny reserves the right to reject duplicate, incomplete, misleading, inaccurate, or unverifiable nominations.

4. Voting Process

Public voting opens November 2, 2026, and closes December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Following an accepted nomination, the event may be assigned an individual voting page and included on the master evAwards voting page. Event listings may include the event's name, images, location, dates, event type, website, nomination description, and current vote total.

To cast a vote, voters must submit the required information through the official voting form, including their name, email address, and relationship to the event, such as attendee, volunteer, vendor, sponsor, or other.

Voting restrictions and validation:

Each voter may cast one valid vote per event using a unique, valid email address.
Duplicate submissions using the same email address for the same event will be rejected.
Votes submitted through invalid email domains, testing addresses, or email patterns identified as invalid or intended to circumvent duplicate-vote restrictions may be rejected.
Automated votes, fraudulent submissions, vote manipulation, and attempts to interfere with the integrity of the Contest are prohibited.
Eventeny reserves the right to investigate voting irregularities and invalidate votes that it reasonably determines are fraudulent, duplicate, automated, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions.

Vote totals and rankings displayed during the Contest are provisional and may change as votes are reviewed, validated, or removed. Final results will be determined after the voting period closes and Eventeny completes its validation process.

Nominations and voting pages will close at 12:00 a.m. EST on January 1, 2027. Submissions received after the Contest deadline will not be counted.

5. Winner Selection and Ties

Best Event of 2026: Grand Prize

The eligible event receiving the highest number of valid, unique votes across all categories will be named Best Event of 2026 and designated the Grand Prize winner.

Category Winners

Four additional People's Choice awards will be presented to the eligible events receiving the highest number of valid votes in their respective categories: Best Festival, Best Convention, Best Market, and Best Fair.

The Grand Prize winner is not eligible to receive an additional People's Choice category award. If the Grand Prize winner would otherwise rank first in one of these categories, the next-highest-ranked eligible event in that category will be considered for the category award.

Tiebreakers and Final Results

In the event of a tie for an award, Eventeny will select the winner at random from the eligible events tied for that award, using a random selection method determined by Eventeny.

All vote totals will be subject to final validation. Eventeny's determinations regarding eligibility, vote validity, rankings, and winners will be final to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Prizes

Grand Prize: Best Event of 2026

The Grand Prize winner will receive:

$3,000 cash prize, celebrating the third annual evAwards.
One complimentary add-on email blast (eblast), reaching up to three states.
Inclusion in an Eventeny press release.
A dedicated Eventeny social media post.
A feature in an Eventeny blog post.
An awards badge displayed on Eventeny's company page.
A downloadable award badge for marketing use.
A custom evAwards trophy.

People's Choice Category Winners

Each of the four category winners will receive:

One complimentary AVE eblast, reaching up to three states.
Inclusion in an Eventeny press release.
A dedicated Eventeny social media post.
A feature in an Eventeny blog post.
An awards badge displayed on Eventeny's company page.
A downloadable award badge for marketing use.
A custom evAwards trophy.

Eblast requirements: To redeem a complimentary eblast, the winning organization must create an event on Eventeny and launch an application through the Eventeny platform. Eblast fulfillment, scheduling, audience selection, geographic targeting, content, and availability are subject to Eventeny's applicable requirements and approval.

Press releases and case studies: Winners may be featured in Eventeny's promotional materials and press releases. Winners who agree to participate in a case study may also be eligible for a personalized press release, subject to coordination with Eventeny.

Cash Prize Donation Alternative

If the Grand Prize-winning organization is unable to accept the $3,000 cash prize, the winner may choose to have the prize money donated to a charitable cause of their choice instead of receiving the cash directly.

The winner must communicate this choice to Eventeny and provide any information reasonably necessary to facilitate the donation. The proposed charitable recipient must be capable of lawfully receiving the donation, and the donation will be subject to applicable legal and administrative requirements. Eventeny reserves the right to verify the recipient and coordinate the donation before distributing the funds.

The donation alternative applies only to the Grand Prize cash component. All other prize benefits remain subject to their applicable fulfillment requirements.

Prizes and benefits may not be transferred or exchanged for cash, except as expressly provided in these Terms & Conditions or required by law. Eventeny reserves the right to substitute a prize or benefit with an item or benefit of comparable value if fulfillment becomes impracticable, subject to applicable law.

Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes or other obligations associated with accepting a prize.

7. Winner Notification and Announcement

Potential winners will be notified using the contact information provided during the nomination process no later than January 15, 2027.

Winners will be publicly announced during Eventeny's annual State of the Festival and evAwards Ceremony webinar on January 15, 2027.

Winners may be required to confirm their identity, their affiliation with the nominated event, and their authority to accept the award on the event organization's behalf. Winners must respond to reasonable requests for information necessary to confirm eligibility and arrange prize fulfillment.

Failure to respond, inability to verify eligibility, or failure to satisfy applicable prize requirements may result in forfeiture of the award. In such circumstances, Eventeny may select an alternate winner based on the final validated results and applicable award category.

Eventeny is not responsible for unsuccessful notifications caused by inaccurate contact information, spam filters, technical failures, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8. Use of Submitted Content and Promotional Rights

By submitting a nomination, the nominator represents that they are authorized to submit the event information and images provided and that they have obtained any permissions necessary for Eventeny to use that content as described in these Terms & Conditions.

The nominator and applicable rights holders retain ownership of their submitted content. However, by submitting a nomination, the nominator grants Eventeny a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, publish, and adapt the submitted event information, descriptions, and images for purposes related to the administration, promotion, advertising, and publicity of the evAwards and Eventeny.

These uses may include, but are not limited to, Eventeny's websites, public voting pages, social media channels, email communications, press releases, blogs, promotional materials, and announcements of Contest results.

Nominators are responsible for securing the necessary rights and permissions for submitted images, including any applicable photographer copyrights, third-party intellectual property rights, and permissions relating to identifiable individuals where required by law.

By submitting a nomination, the nominator confirms that the images and content are authorized for the uses described in these Terms & Conditions and any applicable permissions provided through the nomination form.

Eventeny may publicly identify nominated events and winners by event name, location, award category, and other relevant event details. Winning organizations may identify themselves as evAwards winners and use the downloadable award badge in their marketing materials, provided that such use is accurate and does not misrepresent the award received.

9. Privacy and Personal Information

Eventeny collects and processes information submitted through nomination and voting forms for purposes including Contest administration, eligibility review, vote validation, winner notification, prize fulfillment, fraud prevention, and related operational needs.

Personal contact information collected through nomination forms is intended for administrative purposes and is not intended to be displayed on public voting pages. Event information, nomination descriptions, and submitted images may be displayed publicly as described in these Terms & Conditions.

Voters may be given the option to receive notifications about events near them. This option is voluntary and is not required to cast a vote. Any subsequent communications will be handled in accordance with applicable consent requirements and Eventeny's privacy practices.

By participating in the Contest, you acknowledge that Eventeny may process the information you provide as reasonably necessary to administer the Contest, subject to its Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Prohibited Conduct and Disqualification

Participants must not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, manipulate votes, use automated systems to generate votes, impersonate another individual, submit unauthorized content, or interfere with the nomination or voting processes.

Eventeny reserves the right to investigate suspected violations, reject or remove nominations, invalidate votes, remove an event from the voting pages, or disqualify a participant or event when Eventeny reasonably determines that such action is necessary to preserve the integrity and fairness of the Contest.

Eventeny may withhold an award if a winner is determined to be ineligible or if the result was affected by fraud, manipulation, or a material violation of these Terms & Conditions.

11. Contest Modifications, Suspension, or Cancellation

Eventeny reserves the right to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time, subject to applicable law. This includes the right to modify these Terms & Conditions, award categories, eligibility criteria, voting procedures, prize details, deadlines, or other aspects of the Contest.

Eventeny may take such action when necessary due to technical issues, suspected fraud, security concerns, circumstances beyond its reasonable control, or other legal or operational considerations.

Material changes will be communicated through the evAwards website or another appropriate channel when reasonably practicable. Any changes will be subject to applicable law.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eventeny and its affiliates, officers, employees, representatives, and agents are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, misdirected, or inaccurate nominations or votes; website outages; technical failures; unauthorized interference; communication failures; or other circumstances that may affect participation in or administration of the Contest.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventeny will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in the Contest, the awarding or use of a prize, or any modification, suspension, or cancellation of the Contest.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

These Terms & Conditions are subject to applicable laws and any mandatory legal protections applicable to participants in their jurisdiction.

The evAwards are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other third-party platform used to promote the Contest.

By submitting a nomination or voting in the Contest, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

14. Right to Modify Terms

Eventeny reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms & Conditions and to modify, suspend, or cancel the evAwards Contest at any time, with or without prior notice, subject to applicable law. Updated Terms & Conditions will be posted on the evAwards website and will become effective as stated in the update. Continued participation following the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions to the extent permitted by law.
