Enhanced Finance & Security Solutions at Eventeny
Processing fees
- Eventeny generally applies a 3% fee on transactions, while our payment processor, Stripe, charges an average of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
- Event organizers can pass, split, or absorb all fees. Typically, event organizers elect to pass costs along to their event participants.
Charge & Refund
- When utilizing most transactional features on Eventeny, organizers will have a tokenized version of the user's card on file to facilitate additional payments, refunds, or partial refunds following the event's policies. It is important to note that the card information is never stored on Eventeny servers or disclosed to any employee, entity, or user throughout this process.
- In the event of a refund, Eventeny ensures that transaction fees are refunded to the organizers, regardless of whether the payment was passed, split, or absorbed. Typically, Eventeny covers the Stripe fees internally, resulting in organizers not experiencing any debits for fees from their accounts.
Compliance
- Eventeny holds all certifications necessary to process fees online and in person.
- Eventeny holds SOC I & II data privacy compliance certifications.
- Stripe is also PCI compliant and SOC I & II compliant for all accepted payment types on Eventeny.
Stripe Account
- Stripe is the world's leading business-to-business payment processor, trusted by renowned companies such as Amazon, Shopify, Uber, and many more. You can explore a wide range of Stripe customer stories from around the globe to see how Stripe has empowered businesses. At Eventeny, esteemed customers like GalaxyCon, San Francisco Pride, and the City of Atlanta have securely and successfully processed millions of transactions. Learn more by contacting partnership@eventeny.com.
- After subscribing to Eventeny, users can promptly set up a Stripe account. Organizers can refer to this quick setup guide for detailed instructions on the process.
- The requirements to register are listed in this example form. The form consists of information about your business, identifying information like SSN or TIN from your organization, and a way to connect your bank account to Stripe. If you cannot provide this information, please contact us, and review the Express option below.
- Organizers can also establish multiple linked accounts through Stripe. For instance, some organizers may prefer payments from different events to be directed to separate banking accounts. Moreover, organizers can assign different tickets or applications to specific accounts. The possibilities are endless within Eventeny.
- If you have any stripe-related questions, please use this link to view their support articles or contact support.
Stripe Express
- This account operates similarly to a standard Stripe account, allowing Eventeny to process payments to the organizer's account on their behalf. Users will choose this option if they cannot provide information such as SSN or TIN to Stripe due to legal or account-related limitations.
- If Express is required, a quick 10 minutes meeting will be coordinated with the Eventeny sales rep and the finance team to ensure the organizer is set up correctly.
Check
- Users can choose to receive check payouts and avoid syncing Stripe with their accounts. However, it is strongly discouraged. By selecting this option, payouts may be delayed for up to 75 days and may incur a 1% service fee.
Receiving payouts
- Eventeny and Stripe do not retain the funds of event organizers. Stripe payouts, whether Express or regular, are directly received in your Stripe account once the transaction is settled. The exact timing of the settlement may vary based on your location. Payouts can be manually transferred to a connected bank account at any time or scheduled monthly, weekly, or daily at no additional cost.
- Stripe can also enable instant payouts deposited into your connected bank account for a 1% fee. Learn more here.
- In the rare event that an organizer chooses the check option for payouts, the Eventeny team will typically mail a check containing the account funds to the designated address.
Cloud Reporting
- Eventeny's integration with Stripe through connected APIs enables comprehensive reporting capabilities within the platform. Organizers have the flexibility to edit and modify this information. Within various sections, organizers will find an analytics dashboard that provides easy tracking of financial information. Moreover, transacting and collecting features always include an export option, allowing organizers to conveniently modify and access their reports.
- Furthermore, Stripe provides transaction-level reports in various formats. They offer pre-built reports through Stripe Dashboards, which can also be customized according to individual preferences.
Configuring Reports
- With Stripe and Eventeny, organizers can configure custom reports. On Eventeny, this can be achieved by selecting the desired filters for export (under the submission list) or analysis (under Analytics).
- On Stripe, organizers can also create custom reports of their dashboards. There is also a host of basic to advanced reports that Stripe supports. These reports can effectively fulfill most of the accounting and financial needs. Here is an example of a custom report synced with Eventeny meta-data.
Reporting Automation
- Organizers’ financial teams can also elect to schedule the delivery of financial reports on a set candace (daily, weekly, monthly). This process is especially useful for standard reports.
- Stripe also integrates directly with accounting-specific software like NetSuite and Quickbooks. You can download the connectors for those integrations for an automated financial reporting experience.
Payments Successfulness
- Eventeny and Stripe proudly maintain a nearly 100 percent success rate on valid transactions. Transactions are diligently monitored for any signs of fraudulent or invalid activities, ensuring the protection of organizers, similar to the security measures implemented by most financial institutions.
- The Eventeny support team can assist organizers and their event ecosystem users resolve any issues related to failed transactions. If a failed or blocked transaction occurs, the team can provide detailed explanations and guidance to rectify the situation and ensure a successful transaction. Organizers are encouraged to use this contact form for any assistance they may require.
Disputed Transactions
- All organizers should clearly state how they will collect payments for their events in terms and conditions to avoid ambiguity.
- In the rare event of a dispute (occurring in less than 0.1% of all transactions on Eventeny), Eventeny will usually take immediate action to protect organizers. Firstly, the transaction will be reversed while the disruptor's bank investigates the charge. Throughout this process, Eventeny will restrict access to the disruptor's account on Eventeny, preventing them from accessing information or participating in any other events until the matter is resolved. Eventeny will also provide organizers with all the relevant supporting information regarding the transaction, which they can share with their bank. Lastly, Eventeny will reach out to the disruptor on behalf of the organizer to facilitate a resolution to the dispute.
