Experience the charm of Historic Downtown Liberty while learning the art of plein air sketching. This four-week course will focus on capturing the essence of the urban landscape through observational drawing. Each session will take place outdoors (weather permitting), allowing you to work directly from life and develop your sketching skills in a relaxed and inspiring setting.
What you’ll learn:
-Techniques for quick, expressive sketches
-How to capture light, shadow, and perspective on location
-Composition and mark-making using charcoal
This class is perfect for beginners and experienced artists looking to enhance their sketching practice.
Supplies Needed:
Medium and soft charcoal pencils
Sketchbook (at least 9x12)
Drawing board
Kneaded eraser
Blending stubs
Outdoor folding chair
