To end our day of black family health education, we will be hosting a movie night. TOUCH Talks Wellness will be providing a fun night for families to come enjoy their vacation together with a fun family movie night celebrating black family love.

Mental health is uniquely important across the Black community. It’s time to have the hard conversations about seeking and maintaining the support we need. Join us at the TOUCH Talk Wellness house for a robust conversation on mental health.

Do you only go to the doctor when someone in your house gets sick? Are you participating in sick care or actual health-care. Join us at the TOUCH Talk Wellness house to learn about how we can take care of our families proactively and normalize what’s happening in our households. Come learn how to be the CEO of your own health and your family's health. Topics that will be discussed include diabetes, sickle cell, HIV, kidney disease, brain health, and family finances.

What do prostate, pancreatic, lung, and breast cancer have in common? They all affect Black people at disproportionate rates. Come learn why this is happening and what we can do about it. Don’t miss this important session at the TOUCH Talks Wellness house. This will be a roundtable for warriors, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers to discuss screening, treatment, and best outcomes.

Cardiac health is a growing issue in the Black community. We have a higher risk of heart attack and strokes. During this session we will hear from the Yoba family about their specific dealings with heart health and how they have worked together to overcome their hereditary concerns. What are you doing after the fireworks? Did you know that you could party with a purpose to support Black Breast Health advocacy? TOUCH’s For the Love of My Gurls campaign is throwing its first annual Booby Trap party at the TOUCH Talks Wellness house. We will be celebrating HBCU and all things black health. You won’t want to spend your last night on the vineyard anywhere else!

This health policy brunch is crucial to the times we are living in today. It is imperative that as a Black community we work together to understand what needs to be done politically to make a difference in our healthcare. This is a conversation about overcoming the current challenges. Let’s also discuss screening guidelines, the importance of local and national voting, and how politics are affecting our health at the TOUCH Talks Wellness house.
