What a World! Art Gallery at Worlds of Fun — Summer 2026 By submitting an application to participate in the 2026 Summer Art Gallery at Worlds of Fun, artists agree to the following terms and conditions: Submission & Curation -All submissions are subject to review and approval. This is a curated exhibition, and submission does not guarantee acceptance. -Artists may submit multiple works; however, the number of accepted pieces may be limited based on space and overall exhibition balance. -Artwork must align with the theme “What a World!” and be appropriate for a family-friendly environment. The following content is not permitted: -Profanity, nudity, or explicit material -Political statements -Violent imagery -Copyrighted or trademarked material not owned by the artist Submission Fee -A $20 non-refundable submission fee per artist is required for consideration. -This fee covers administrative and curation costs and does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition. Artwork Requirements -All artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist. -Work must be ready to display upon delivery, including appropriate hanging hardware. -While all mediums will be considered, wall-mounted or “flat” work is preferred due to gallery limitations. -Final size and presentation may be considered during the curation process to ensure a diverse and balanced exhibition. Delivery & Pick-Up -Accepted artists will receive scheduled drop-off and pick-up dates and instructions. -Artists are responsible for delivering and retrieving their work within the designated timeframes. -Artists may designate another individual to drop off or pick up work if needed. -Artwork not picked up within the specified timeframe may be subject to additional handling considerations. Sales & Commission -Artists are welcome and encouraged to sell their work during the exhibition. -Worlds of Fun will manage all sales transactions. -A 25% commission will be retained on all sales, with 75% paid to the artist. -Artists are responsible for pricing their work with commission and potential discounts in mind. -Prices must be finalized prior to the gallery opening and may not be adjusted once the exhibition begins. -Payments will be issued to artists following the conclusion of the exhibition. Liability & Inventory Tracking -While reasonable care will be taken in handling and displaying artwork, Worlds of Fun, Art Garden KC, and curator Morgen Agesen are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage. -To support accountability, artists will complete an inventory waiver form at both drop-off and pick-up, documenting all original works and prints submitted. This documentation will be used to verify inventory in the event of loss or theft and may be referenced for compensation considerations where applicable. -Artists are encouraged to obtain their own insurance if additional coverage is desired. Promotion & Media -By participating, artists grant permission for their work and name to be used in marketing, social media, and promotional materials related to the exhibition. -Artists will be notified when promotion is approved for public posting. Participation Agreement -Accepted artists agree to meet all deadlines, communication, and installation requirements. -Failure to comply with guidelines or deadlines may result in removal from the exhibition. Final Authority -Final decisions regarding artist selection, artwork placement, and exhibition details are at the discretion of curator Morgen Agesen in collaboration with Worlds of Fun and Art Garden KC Required Agreement -By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined above.
