Clay Special Topics: Stained Clay

Join Amy Smoot on January 31st & February 1st 3-5pm for a clay special topics workshop! Glaze isn't the only way to create decorative and fun surfaces on pottery! In this workshop, students will learn how to mix ceramic stains into their clay to create different shades and colors and will be shown how to utilize the stained clay with different building techniques. This class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Day one will be spent mixing different shades and colors of clay, day two will be spent building 2-4 pieces of pottery depending on size. The instructor will fire and clear glaze all work created in this workshop. Students can expect to pick up work 3-4 weeks after the last day of class. All supplies included in tuition.
