About the event
Nature's bounty is all around us! Discover the world of foraging wild edible mushrooms and plants in our Spring Foraging Workshop on Friday, May 29th, with guest speaker, the Hoosier Forager - Tim Frost!
Come along as Tim discusses the basics and ethics of foraging, how to identify some common edible mushrooms and plants, what parts are edible, and the best time to harvest each one. Then, Tim will guide participants on a hike around the EEC to locate and ID some wild edibles. You might even get to try some!
We are offering two sessions on Sunday, May 3rd, so you can choose which one to attend! One session is from 1 PM - 3 PM and the other is from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
Tickets are $10 per person.
This workshop is recommended for those ages 12 and up.
Advanced registration is limited and required by Wednesday, April 26th.

Tim Frost
Tim Frost—known online as Hoosier Forager—is an Indiana-based outdoor educator and wild food enthusiast who teaches people how to safely identify, harvest, and use edible plants and mushrooms found in the Midwest using his 3 Pillar Foraging Ethic and Foraging Onion illustration. Through workshops, public programs, and social media, he promotes sustainable foraging practices and encourages people to reconnect with nature and local food sources.
