BBQ Competition
Calling all pitmasters and grill enthusiasts! The Southern Smoke N Sip Festival 2024 is gearing up for an epic Barbecue Battle that promises to be a showcase of smoky flavors, culinary innovation, and true grill mastery. As the aroma of sizzling meats wafts through the air, competitors will vie for their place in barbecue history and a portion of the over $20,000 Total Grand Prize pool or 80% of the entry fees if the amount collect by competitors is not $25,000 or more.
The Barbecue Competition features a range of categories designed to highlight the diverse skills of participants. From the succulent tenderness of the Best Chicken to the savory perfection of Best Pork Ribs, the hearty goodness of Best Beef Ribs, and the rich flavors of Best Brisket, competitors will bring their A-game to each grill station. But it doesn’t stop there; the battle extends to side dishes with Best Beans, the cook’s personal touch in Cookers Choice, Exotic Meats, and etc.
Lone Star Barbecue Society competition rules will govern each category, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants. Judges, seasoned experts in the barbecue world, will evaluate entries based on established criteria. The tenderness, flavor, and overall presentation of each dish will be meticulously assessed, making this competition not just a battle of grills but a journey into the art and science of barbecue.
