"Sleigh It Forward" Christmas Festival: Your Health & Safety Guide
Welcome to "Sleigh It Forward"! We're thrilled to have you join us. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, so please take a moment to review these simple guidelines to help us all have a wonderful and safe festival experience.
Be Aware & Stay Safe!
Look Around You: Please be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye out for anything unusual. If you spot something that doesn't look right or seems unsafe, please tell a festival staff member right away.
Know Your Exits: Take a quick look around when you arrive to spot the emergency exits. They'll be clearly marked. Please keep these pathways clear at all times – they're vital in an emergency.
Go with the Flow: Festivals can get busy! Please follow directions from our staff, especially in crowded areas. Let's keep a steady flow and avoid running or pushing.
Meeting Point: If you get separated from your group or lose something, head to our clearly marked Lost & Found/Meeting Point. It's also where you can report a lost child.
Dress for the Weather: It's Christmas, so dress warmly! Keep an eye on the weather forecast and be prepared for chilly or potentially wet conditions. We'll have some sheltered areas available if needed.
Comfy Feet: You'll likely be doing a lot of walking, so wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes that offer good grip. This is especially important if it's wet or if there's uneven ground.
Stay Healthy & Happy!
Wash Your Hands: We encourage everyone to wash their hands frequently or use hand sanitizer, especially before you eat or after using the restrooms. We'll have plenty of handwashing stations and sanitizer dispensers available.
Clean Restrooms: We'll be keeping our restrooms clean and well-maintained for your comfort.
First Aid Ready: If you feel unwell or need any medical assistance, head straight to our clearly marked First Aid station. Our trained medical staff are there to help you.
Food Safety: Our food vendors are committed to serving you delicious and safe food. If you have allergies, please check with the vendor directly about ingredients before you order.
Stay Hydrated: Even in cooler weather, it's a good idea to stay hydrated. Water will be available.
Enjoy Activities Safely!
Rides & Attractions: If you're enjoying our rides or other attractions, please pay attention to any height or age restrictions and follow the instructions of the operators. They're there to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time.
Winter Fun: If we have ice skating or other winter sports, please follow all rules, wear appropriate gear (like helmets if provided), and listen to our staff for a safe experience.
Crafts & Workshops: If you're getting creative, please be mindful of any tools or materials used and follow the instructions of the workshop leaders.
Fire Safety: If there are outdoor heaters or fire pits, please keep a safe distance and do not touch them. These areas will be supervised for your safety.
In Case of an Emergency...
Listen to Staff: In an emergency, our festival staff are trained to guide you. Please listen carefully to their instructions and any announcements made over the PA system.
Evacuation: Should an evacuation be necessary, staff will direct you to the nearest safe exit and a designated meeting point outside the festival grounds.
Lost Child: If your child gets lost, please immediately go to the Lost & Found/Meeting Point and inform a staff member. We have a clear plan to help reunite families quickly.
We're so excited for "Sleigh It Forward" and appreciate your help in making it a safe and magical event for everyone! Have a wonderful time!
