Run Up for Heroes 5k

Join us as we celebrate 250 years of the U.S. Navy at the Run Up for Heroes 5K & Fall Festival at the USS Orleck Naval Museum at the river! We’re inviting a limited number of food vendors to bring flavor and fun to this patriotic, family-friendly event.

Expect a high-energy crowd of runners, veterans, military families, and local supporters. We’re looking for food trucks and booths offering breakfast, snacks, and fall-themed favorites.

USS Orleck Naval Museum – 610 E Bay St., Jacksonville, FL 32202

🕕 Load-In: Begins at 6:00 AM sharp
⏰ Set-Up Deadline: Must be fully set up by 8:00 AM
🚧 Street Closures: Begin at 7:00 AM, so early arrival is essential.

We’re accepting a limited number of food trucks offering crowd-pleasing options—from breakfast favorites to fall-themed eats and festival treats.

 What to Expect:

• A large, enthusiastic crowd

• Family fun zone, costume contests, DJ, and vendor village

• Early-morning race day energy and all-day foot traffic

• A chance to directly support local veterans — all proceeds benefit Helping Hands for Heroes, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit

 Load-In: Begins at 6:00 AM
**⚠️ All vehicles must be fully loaded in by 7:00 AM sharp.
🚧 After 7:00 AM, streets will be closed for the 5K, and you will have to walk in your equipment — no vehicle access will be allowed.

🔌 Requirements:

• Food trucks must be self-contained (no external power or water provided)

• Must have all proper permits and comply with local health and fire safety standards

• Liability insurance is recommended, but not required
