ROCC Climbers & The Reel Hope Present: A Transformative Fishing Experience for Youth of Color Ages 11-16
ROCC Climbers and The Reel Hope are joining forces to create a multi-phase program designed to uplift at-risk youth by fostering strong community ties and positive relationships—all while exploring the great outdoors through the art of fishing. This dynamic initiative unfolds across three immersive one-day events, each built around growth, discovery, and transformation, equipping participants with practical skills and meaningful experiences that extend beyond the water.
What to Expect:
💡 BUILD PHASE – Day 1 📍 Location: Thompson County Park, 360 Butler Ave, West St. Paul, MN 55118 🗓 Date & Time: July 9th, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Participants embark on a hands-on journey, learning to restore rods, reels, and tackleboxes—valuable equipment that they will keep and use throughout the program. Whether held indoors or outdoors, this engaging workshop fosters a sense of ownership and pride in the gear they bring back to life.
🎣 EXPLORE PHASE – Day 2 📍 Location: Lebanon Hills Park, 860 Cliff Road at Holland Lake, Eagan, MN 🗓 Date: July 18th
An expertly guided fishing event, featuring professional instruction tailored to empower youth with practical fishing skills. Participants will gain the confidence to cast, reel, and enjoy the peace of nature alongside dedicated mentors.*
🚤 TRANSFORM PHASE – Exclusive Opportunity Only participants who have completed the Build and Explore phases qualify for this life-changing experience. Limited spots are available for an all-expenses-paid fishing trip aboard a chartered boat, venturing onto one of Minnesota’s expansive fishing lakes.*
