This workshop, led by international queer performer and activist Noah Alfred Pantano, will explore writing, developing, and creating queer theatre, particularly on "taboo" topics like kink and consensual non-monogamy. Through a mix of creative exercises and discussion, those in attendance can ask questions and develop their creative work. We will challenge notions about whose stories we can tell (and how kinky we can tell them).
Noah Alfred Pantano is a PhD Theatre Studies candidate studying at the University of Essex in Colchester, England and is originally from Jacksonville, FL. He is a queer activist currently shortlisted for the National Queer Student Awards in two categories and is the current reigning International Mister Superhero Fetish. He won Spirit of the Fringe at Colchester Fringe this year. His play Pup Play: A Queer Pseudo-Lecture (of sorts) is live on stage at Orlando Fringe from May 17-24th. The play has raised over £800 for charity (so far) and a portion of Orlando Fringe's profits will be donated to the LGBT+ Center Orlando. Pup Play is a critically-acclaimed comedy (of sorts) about Professor Handler David teaching audiences how to put their bitchboys into a submissive puppy headspace.
