About the event
Join Salt Lake County Animal Services for Petapalooza, a two-day pet adoption extravaganza happening Friday, September 12 from 3 PM – 7 PM and Saturday, September 13 from 9 AM – 4 PM at Wheeler Historic Farm (6351 S 900 E, Murray, UT)! This FREE, family-friendly event is one you won't want to miss. There will be hundreds of adoptable pets, food trucks on both days, and tons of fun for animal lovers of all ages. Saturday’s event will feature dozens of local pet-related vendors, free microchips for all licensed pets in Salt Lake County, and unique experiences like pet "tattoos" and even a pet psychic! You'll meet adoptable dogs, cats, and small mammals from more than a dozen local rescues and shelters. Plus, our Animal Control Officers will be available to microchip and license pets for residents in our jurisdiction—don’t forget, all licensed pets in Salt Lake County are eligible for a free microchip. Petapalooza is proudly sponsored by Salt Lake County Animal Services and No-Kill Utah, a Best Friends initiative.

Don't miss out on the biggest adoption event of the year. Petapalooza is back and better than ever! This year’s event will take place at Wheeler Historic Farm on Saturday, September 13 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This fun family and pet friendly event will feature over a dozen pet rescues from across the state of Utah and will offer adoptable dogs, cats, and other small mammals! We are looking for potential vendors to ensure a fun, productive, and memorable experience for the people and pets of the Salt Lake area !

 

As a vendor, this event provides you an opportunity to interact with the community and advertise the goods, products, and/or services that you provide. Space at Petapalooza is limited and preference may be given to those with a history of supporting our shelter. In addition to this, we will only be allowing a certain number of vendors from each product category. If you are interested in becoming a vendor for Petapalooza, please make sure to submit your application today. You will be notified if your application has been selected.

Petapalooza is back and better than ever! Join Salt Lake County Animal Services at Wheeler Historic Farm on Friday, September 12 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year dogs will remain out on the south lawn. This leaves the whole inside area for cats and little critters!

 

Please read the Rescue Rules and Event Details before submitting your application. This can be found under "Related Files".

 

Space at Petapalooza is limited. We will assign each attending rescue or shelter a number of kennels based on how many are available within the final design layout. You will be informed by September 1, 2025 how many kennels you will be assigned. We will add you as co-hosts to our Facebook event as soon as your application has been approved.
