OC Pride’s Pride 365 Volunteer Program is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact all year long! Whether you're looking to give back, gain experience, or connect with like-minded individuals, we welcome you to join our vibrant team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering with OC Pride is more than just helping out—it’s about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for our community. Whether you're interested in assisting with events, supporting outreach efforts, or contributing behind the scenes, there’s a place for you in our program. Volunteer Opportunities Our volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to: Event Support – Assist with planning and executing OC Pride events throughout the year. Community Outreach – Help spread awareness and connect with local organizations, businesses, and LGBTQIA+ allies. Administrative & Support Roles – Provide essential behind-the-scenes assistance with planning, communications, and more. Fundraising & Development – Play a key role in helping OC Pride grow and sustain its mission. Committee Volunteer Roles Looking to take on a leadership role? Consider joining one of our committees: Operations Committee – Support logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site event execution. Parade Committee – Assist with planning and organizing the annual Pride Parade, including participant coordination and route management. Fund Development Committee – Help secure sponsorships, plan fundraising campaigns, and build partnerships to sustain OC Pride. Marketing Committee – Contribute to social media, graphic design, content creation, and promotional campaigns. We provide all volunteers with the necessary training and flexible scheduling to fit your availability. Whether you can commit a few hours a month or want to be deeply involved year-round, we appreciate every contribution. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Pride in Irvine! As an Information Table Volunteer, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces attendees see at the event. This role is perfect for those who enjoy connecting with others and helping people feel welcome and informed. Duties include: Greeting attendees with a smile Answering general questions about OC Pride's upcoming Pride Month Schedule and the 2025 Festival and Parade (schedules, locations, amenities, etc.) Distributing festival flyers and OC Pride brochures Collecting Signups for the OC Pride Newsletter and Volunteer Program Supporting other event staff with communication tasks as needed

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a Parade Dancer with OC Pride! As a Parade Dancer Volunteer, you’ll help bring the spirit of Pride to life, energizing the crowd with choreographed routines, freestyle moves, and infectious positivity. This role is perfect for individuals who love to dance, perform, and celebrate diversity in front of thousands of festival-goers. Duties include: Participating in mandatory dance rehearsals leading up to the parade. Performing choreographed and/or freestyle dance routines during the OC Pride Parade and select partner events in Southern California. Representing OC Pride with enthusiasm, professionalism, and high-energy spirit throughout the parade route. Supporting other parade participants, dance leads, and event staff as needed. Terms & Conditions By submitting this application to become a Parade Dancer Volunteer with Orange County LGBT Pride (OC Pride), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Volunteer Expectations 1.1 Commitment & Conduct Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and inclusive manner that aligns with OC Pride’s mission and values. Volunteers must treat attendees, fellow dancers, volunteers, staff, vendors, and community partners with courtesy and respect. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal. 1.2 Attendance & Communication Participation in all required rehearsals is mandatory to perform in the parade(s). Volunteers must arrive on time for rehearsals and performances and communicate proactively with the Dance Coordinator if availability changes. Repeated absences, tardiness, or lack of communication may result in removal from the Parade Dance Team. 2. Scope of Duties 2.1 Dance Team Support & Roles Volunteers will perform choreographed routines during the OC Pride Parade and may have opportunities to perform at additional Pride parades/events in Southern California. Volunteers agree to learn choreography, attend rehearsals, and follow instructions from the Dance Leads and Event Staff. 2.2 Training & Instructions Volunteers agree to participate fully in all required rehearsals and to practice independently as needed. Volunteers must follow all guidelines and performance instructions provided by OC Pride staff or Dance Leads. 3. Safety, Liability & Perks 3.1 Safety & Liability Waiver Volunteers must prioritize safety during all rehearsals and performances. By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless OC Pride, its affiliates, sponsors, and host venues from liability for personal injury, loss, or damage, except in the case of gross negligence. 3.2 Festival Ticket Benefit Parade Dancer Volunteers will receive one (1) complimentary general admission ticket to the 2025 OC Pride Festival after successfully completing all required rehearsals and participating in the parade. Tickets are non-transferable, have no cash value, and will be distributed prior to the Festival once participation is verified. 4. Confidentiality & Media Release 4.1 Confidentiality Agreement Volunteers may have access to private or sensitive information about OC Pride’s operations or event participants. All non-public information must remain confidential. 4.2 Media & Photography Release By volunteering, you consent to the use of your image or likeness in event photography, videography, and promotional materials unless you notify the Dance Coordinator in writing before the event. 5. Eligibility, Minors & Dismissal 5.1 Minors Volunteers under 18 must have written parental or guardian consent. Age-appropriate roles will be assigned accordingly. 5.2 Dismissal & Code of Conduct OC Pride reserves the right to remove any volunteer from their role or the program for failure to meet conduct expectations, noncompliance with instructions, lack of rehearsal attendance, or any behavior inconsistent with our mission and values. 6. Agreement & Acceptance By submitting this application, I confirm that: ✅ I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the OC Pride Parade Dance Volunteer Terms & Conditions. ✅ I understand that this is an unpaid position and I am offering my time and services voluntarily. ✅ I understand that attendance at rehearsals and adherence to all event guidelines are mandatory for participation.
