Presented by Cultural Arts Murfreesboro, the annual Juneteenth Celebration is held at Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center along South Academy Street. This year's festival will take place on June 20, 2026 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are looking forward to another excellent celebration of community and culture as we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the former Confederate States of America! Join us in the celebration with food, art, live music, dancing, and free activities. The event is free to attend and open to the public, please contact festival organizers at smayo@ or shicks@ for more information.

As this event takes place in the middle of Tennessee summer, there are some risks associated with high heat levels. Cooling stations will be located at the intersection of S Academy and State St. and the intersection of S Academy street and E Sevier Street. While cooling stations and limited cooling materials will be available, we encourage all guests and vendors to prepare ahead of time. Bring ample amounts of water, and take breaks from the heat in a shady, cool area when necessary. By attending or participating in this event, guests and vendors acknowledge the risks associated with high temperatures and outdoor conditions. Each individual assumes responsibility for monitoring their own health and wellbeing throughout the event.
All food vendors are required to possess permits through the City of Murfreesboro to maintain necessary health and safety regulations.
