Convention Floor Rules You MUST be wearing the 18+ wristband to enter any and all 18+ programming. 18+ wristbands are valid for the entire weekend once a valid form of ID has been presented. Acceptable forms of ID include valid, non expired, driver's liscenses, passports, and military IDs. Non-government issued IDs are NOT ACCEPTED. No exceptions will be made for anyone without proper ID. Attendees who will be joining us with their TRAINED SERVICE ANIMAL companion are more than welcomed! Emotional Support Animals are not covered under the ADA and will not be allowed within the venue. Any animal seen to be causing a disturbance to the event will be asked to be removed from the venue. If you are an attendee with disabilities, MiraiCon wants to make your time at our event as fun as possible! Be sure to stop by our Registration/Information booth for assistance and information on our accommodations! Cosplay Rules All costumes are subject to review by staff who may request modifications if costumes are suspected to be outside the guidelines set by the convention. Nudity is NOT allowed at MiraiCon or the hotel. All attendees regardless of gender are required to have opaque material providing complete coverage of nipples, genitals, and buttocks. Bodysuits that simulate nudity are NOT allowed. Clothing and Costumes must NOT contain any offensive, derogatory, racist, or obscene language or imagery. Footwear must include a solid sole that entirely covers the bottom of the foot. All costumes must be able to fit through a standard 7' doorway with the exception of pre-approved, large scale costumes for our contests. Any item of clothing or costume deemed inappropriate by a member of Law Enforcement or staff is not permitted on the show floor. Makeup/body paint/face coverings guidelines: Body paint must be sealed, dry, and non-transferable, You are responsible for any damage caused by makeup/paint, Full face makeup should not obstruct vision. Prop/large costume guidelines: Wings and Large Pieces must be securely attached. Be aware of your additional width in doorways and crowds, You must be able to safely navigate through the convention, Staff may ask you to temporarily store oversized pieces in crowded areas or during peak hours. Have a plan for storing large pieces if needed. We recommend bringing a friend/assistant to help navigate the crowds! How do I sign up for the cosplay contests? You can sign up for our cosplay contests on the Applications page, Photo & Media Policy MiraiCon reserves the right to use all photos taken at the event for promotional purposes. Rules for personal/private photography: Always ask for permission before photographing individuals, Respect anyone who declines to be photographed, Do not block traffic, exits, or walkways while taking photos, Photography may be prohibited in certain areas (signage will indicate this), Flash photography may be restricted in certain programming, Photography of panels/performances may be limited based on guest requests, “Cosplay is not consent” – permission for photos is needed even if someone is in costume.
