Security FAQ
Wagons are NOT allowed on the show floor due to accessibility reasons. Our hallways must be able to accommodate ALL guests without obstruction.
What is your Props policy?
ALL false guns MUST have a visible ORANGE TIP at the end of the barrel.
All prop weapons must have a dull tip. All sharp objects will be confiscated.
All props of any size MUST have a prop check band attached to it.
Prohibited items include:
Real weapons or projectiles of any kind,
Drones or remote-controlled flying devices,
Smoking/vaping materials (except in designated outdoor areas),
Non-mobility vehicles (skateboards, hoverboards, etc.),
Signs requesting or offering physical contact (“free hugs” signs),
Noise-making devices (air horns, vuvuzelas, etc.),
Outside alcohol,
Animals (except service animals as defined by ADA),
Laser pointers,
Items deemed dangerous by staff/security personnel,
Any and all prohibited items must be returned to your vehicle or hotel room. Items that are illegal will be reported to law enforcement.
Harassment policy:
Definition of Harassment:
Offensive verbal comments or gestures related to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, or religion,
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following,
Harassing photography or recording,
Inappropriate physical contact without consent,
Unwelcome sexual attention or advances,
Sustained disruption of panels, signings, or other events,
Physical assault and/or battery,
Reporting Harassment: If you feel harassed or witness harassment, report it immediately to:
Any member of our security team (identifiable by security vests),
Convention staff at the information booth,
Venue security.
Emergency Procedure
Alert the nearest staff member or security personnel immediately,
Follow all instructions from staff, security or emergency responders,
Know the locations of emergency exits,
In case of evacuation, remain calm and proceed to the nearest exit.
