About the event

The Maine Fishermen’s Forum is a three-day annual event held over the first weekend in March at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. The Forum brings together fishermen, sea farmers, gear suppliers, state and federal scientists and regulators, and other stakeholders for education, collaboration, commerce, and more. The Forum offers dozens of educational seminars throughout the weekend, a lively tradeshow floor with 120 marine-focused vendors, health checks and health resources for fishermen, children's programming and family entertainment, a live and silent auction to provide scholarships to students of fishing families, and fun-filled evening meals and entertainment.

Parking instructions

Parking onsite at the Samoset Resort is always open but is limited and tends to fill at peak points during the Forum. Additional parking is easily accessible at Harbor Plaza, Rockland, with complimentary and continuous shuttle service to and from the Samoset Resort.

2026 Maine Fishermen's Forum Scholarship Application

The Maine Fishermen’s Forum Board of Directors offers a scholarship fund to benefit Maine students who are children or grandchildren or a legal dependent of someone actively involved in harvesting wild caught or farmed Maine seafood, or a Maine-based resource law enforcement officer regardless of financial need or academic achievement.

Please note that previous winners are not eligible.

This offering is for up to ten people and provides Coast Guard Approved Certification by the American Safety and Health Institute.

Kid's Lunch and daytime activities are available 12:00 - 5:00 Friday and Saturday for $15.Daytime activities include board games, ping pong, foosball, and crafts. Kids' bag lunch includes a sandwich, fruit, cheese and a beverage.

Kids' dinner and evening activities are available 5:00 - 9:00 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for $15. Evening activities include a craft, movie, storytelling, and kids' yoga. Kid-friendly dinners are served at 5:00 p.m.
