LeMoyne Arts invites the community to join in celebrating the conclusion of the wildly successful Art for Always Master Plan Project with an open house and garden dedication on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9am-2pm.
Free and open to the public, the event will feature campus tours, art demonstrations, lawn games, live music, refreshments, and door prizes.
As of 2025, over $4 million has been raised -- $1,865,000 in grant funding from the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) – Tourist Development Council (TDC) and $2,500,000 from generous individual donors in support of the LeMoyne Arts mission, and Creating Community Through Art.
The Art for Always capital campaign far exceeded its original fundraising goals. Its resounding success is primarily attributable to LeMoyne Arts’ place in the hearts and minds of those it serves — artists, arts lovers and advocates, educators, students and friends from all walks of life.
"This open house is our way of saying thank you to the community that made Art for Always a success. We're thrilled to invite everyone to experience the beautifully renewed gardens, expanded education center, and the vibrant spirit these improvements bring to our mission,” said Dan Taylor, LeMoyne Arts President. “It’s a celebration of what we’ve built together—and of the creativity that will thrive here for years to come.”
The considerable funding provided by public and private donations have enabled expansive improvements throughout the LeMoyne Arts campus, including a new education center, renovated gardens, the beautiful Thomas A. Guilday Celebration Gazebo, XOJ Salon & Courtyard, renovated artists’ studios, the Fortunas Family Suite (bridal suite), and two warming kitchens to support event rentals.
The community is invited to experience the renaissance of the LeMoyne Arts campus and enjoy tours of the Garden, Art Education Center, Studios, Gallery, and event spaces. The Garden Dedication Ceremony naming the new expanded gardens The Carmel “Kelly” Simmons Dozier Garden, will take place in the Guilday Gazebo at 10 a.m., and Art Sparks, a structured activity for families with Pre-K children, will be held in the Art Education Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Campus tours and activities will run continuously from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are no admission fees—all events and activities are free. Refreshments (snacks and drinks) will be available for purchase.
LeMoyne Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting art and creativity in the Tallahassee area. Through exhibitions, community events, and art education programs, LeMoyne Arts is committed to fostering an appreciation for the arts in our community.
