Get ready for a night of laughs as the City of Crown Point hosts two nationally renowned comics at Bulldog Park for the “Laughs on Point” comedy show.
Shawn Reynolds and Marty Simpson will take the stage at Bulldog Park for an evening of clean, family friendly comedy in our premier entertainment venue located steps away from the historic downtown square.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18. Live entertainment will kick off the night's festivities from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Shawn Reynolds, as seen on Dry Bar Comedy, will open the evening, beginning at 8 p.m. Shawn has appeared on tour with Tim Hawkins, Michael Jr. and Anita Renfroe and headlined multiple tours, including the MidWest Clean Comedy All-Stars Tour and UpStanding Comedy Tour in Canada. He has appeared on TBN, locally on ABC and NBC. Shawn was a finalist in Chicago’s National “Clean Comedy Challenge,” and he’s the winner of the “Funniest Comic East of the Mississippi” contest. Shawn also is the founder of “Stand-Up For Adoption,” a comedy benefit series that has raised thousands for families trying to adopt children with special needs.
As seen on Dry Bar Comedy, BET, ESPN and more, Marty Simpson will close out the night beginning around 9 p.m. Marty is fresh off being on tour with Leanne Morgan and Jeff Allen. He has performed on three continents and in 46 of the 50 United States. Marty was a finalist in the critically acclaimed television series, "Trial By Laughter," and was named a festival favorite at Big Pine Comedy Festival. His comedy is shaped not only by his 28-plus years of marriage and two kids, but also his 10 years as a head high school football coach and drama teacher.

Shawn Reynolds
Shawn is a well-known clean, Christian comedian who has spent years on the road performing at churches, theaters, non-profit fundraisers, conferences, concerts, holiday parties, galas, banquets and even women’s events! He has toured with Tim Hawkins, Anita Renfroe, Michael Jr and Compassion International. He has a HILARIOUS Dry Bar Comedy special released in 2020. He has also headlined multiple tours including The UpStanding Comedy Tour in Canada, the Midwest Clean Comedy All-Stars Tour and The Laughing In Person Tour in the Northeast region.
In addition to being a full-time, nationally touring clean comedian, Shawn is also the father of six kids (one of which is adopted). In 2019, Shawn founded Stand-Up For Adoption; a clean comedy benefit series that has raised thousands of dollars for families trying to adopt children with special needs. Shawn recently told a shortened version of his family’s adoption story on TBN on the Mike Huckabee Show.
His Dry Bar Comedy special has amassed MILLIONS of views as well. He is also the winner of several comedy contests including the Funniest Comic East of the Mississippi competition and was the runner-up for the National Clean Comedy Challenge in Chicago. He has also been a showcase performer at the Christian Comedy Association’s national conference multiple times.
