Join us for a sweet and spirited evening at Downtown Smithfield’s Hot Cocoa Crawl! Check in at the Santa Hut
located by the courthouse
on South 3rd Street
Sip, taste, stroll, and soak up the holiday magic as you explore our charming downtown shops and businesses, each serving up a creative cocoa-inspired treat — from decadent drinks to delightful desserts (and maybe a few surprises, too!).
Enjoy twinkling lights, cozy vibes, and plenty of holiday cheer while supporting local businesses. It’s the perfect grown-up night out to celebrate the season with friends!
Tickets are $20, and proceeds support Isaiah 117 House of Johnston County — spreading warmth in more ways than one.

In the community parking lots at S. Second Street & E. Johnston Street
On-street parking is also available throughout the downtown area

Walking Event: This is a walking event throughout Downtown Smithfield. The crawl route may take you across several blocks and may include uneven sidewalks or brick pathways. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and being mindful of your surroundings.
Crosswalks & Traffic: Please use designated crosswalks and obey all traffic signals. Downtown streets will remain open to vehicles, so be cautious when crossing.
Age Requirement for alcohol: The event is open to all ages, but you must be 21 or older to participate in tastings that include alcohol. All participants must present a valid ID at check-in.
Stay Hydrated & Drink Responsibly: We encourage you to stay hydrated throughout the evening and enjoy tastings responsibly.
Be Courteous & Respectful: This is a community event—please be kind to volunteers, vendors, and fellow attendees.
If you have any questions or need assistance during the event, staff and volunteers will be available at check-in and throughout the route.
