About the event

Green River Utah's annual Melon Days Festival, now 120 years old, is a celebration of our town's famous tasty melon varieties and their growers. Our rural town's population swells as locals, family, friends and visitors come together for a weekend of melon-munching fun.

Streets around the O.K. Anderson Park will be closed during the event. You may park on neighboring streets.

Health & safety

If you're sick, stay home! EMS will be around, and there will be a basic first aid kit at the Green River City Booth.

Event highlights

Melon Days Parade

Join us for our Melon Days Parade. Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. The parade lineup will begin at the City Maintenance Building (545 West Main) across from NAPA, and will end at the Book Cliff Lodge (735 East Main). Participants must line up by 9:30 AM.

Melon Munchin'

Local Melon Growers serve up Green River Melons to the public, Saturday after the parade.

If you are 17 or younger, you are welcome to apply to be a Jr. entrepreneur vendor at our Green River Melon Days. You will be stationed inside the Basketball courts with other Jr. Entrepreneurs, your selling time will be Friday 12-6, and Saturday 12-6.

Melon Days invites applications from talented bands or performers to be a part of this year's Melon Days. This vibrant community event draws a diverse crowd of all ages and interests. We are seeking performances that will create a lively and memorable atmosphere. Bands of all genres are welcome to apply, and we encourage submissions that showcase strong musicianship, engaging stage presence, and a repertoire suitable for a family-friendly environment.
