Call to Artists Funkadelic Visions ft. George Clinton

Exhibition Dates: May 14 – June 27

LeMoyne Arts invites artists to submit work for Funkadelic Visions, a bold, immersive exhibition inspired by the cosmic funk, radical imagination, and unapologetic creativity of George Clinton.

We are seeking funky artwork in all its forms, work that is vibrant, surreal, playful, psychedelic, Afrofuturist, mythic, humorous, rebellious, or gloriously strange. Artists are encouraged to interpret funk broadly: Visual riffs on music, performance, and rhythm, Afrofuturism, sci-fi, fantasy, and pieces that feel alive, excessive, joyous, confrontational, or transformative.

Art that makes the viewer feel the groove, emotionally, spiritually, or physically. All media are welcome, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, photography, installation, and experimental works. This exhibition invites artists to let go of restraint, turn the volume up, and tap into their most fearless, imaginative selves. If your work grooves, glitches, glows, or explodes with personality, this show is for you.
