About the event
As a cornerstone event for the Elberta community, the Elberta German Sausage Festival is held twice a year to raise funds for the Town of Elberta Fire Department. In addition to directly supporting the fire department, festival proceeds also benefit the community through benevolent initiatives and other fundraising activities. The festival further extends its impact by offering local non-profits a valuable opportunity to participate and raise money for their own causes. Proceeds are also used to ensure the festival's continued operation and improvement. Vendor applications will be available to the public beginning January 1, 2026. All vendors that attended the October 2025 Festival received a link via email for the March 2026 application. If you did not receive the email, you can send us a message here on Eventeny, or send an email to festival@

We are seeking volunteers for the October Elberta German Sausage Festival, which will be held Saturday March 28, 2026 from 8AM-5PM in the Elberta Town Park. Volunteers are also needed on Sunday March 29, 2026 for assistance with festival cleanup. Tasks include wrapping and assisting in serving sausage sandwiches, general cleaning, and various other tasks. You may sign up for multiple shifts if you like. Volunteers may not consume alcohol during the event. This is a perfect opportunity to get service hours for your school organization, or to simply help out a great cause!
Deadline: Mar 09, 2026
Does your non-profit or school organization want to make some extra cash at the festival? No problem! We are seeking organizations that can help run serving windows and assist with wrapping sausage dogs at the Sausage Booth during the festival. We welcome organizations such as civic/charitable organizations, school organizations, youth sports, fire departments, fire/police associations, Mardi Gras associations, etc to apply. All workers must be at least 15 years of age at the time of the festival. Each organization will need to provide staffing for 3 spots to be filled from 7:30am - 5:00pm. Organizations may choose to work in shifts amongst themselves, or have 3 people that work the whole day, etc. As long as the 3 spots are covered, it's OK with us! If your organization wants to have multiple spots to earn more money, just let us know in the Comments section of the application. While working the serving windows, each organization will be expected to help get pre-wrapped sausage dogs out the window by bagging orders and handing them out the window. An organization may also be assigned to wrapping stations to assist in pre-wrapping the sausage dogs for the serving windows. Each organization will be paid $500 in the form of a check made out to the organization. Any organization may work multiple serving windows if they wish, as long as the 3 required spots per organization are covered throughout the day. Volunteers may not consume alcohol during the event. If you have any questions, please email festival@elbertagsf.com.
